Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, we grew up in a traditional Mexican household where hearty meals were the norm. But as we watched our parents face diabetes, we realized the need for healthier options—not just for them but for our entire community.

In 2013, we started The Health Nut RGV to bring those options to life. Back then, the Valley lacked juice bars and health-focused eateries, but we believed in creating change. It wasn’t easy—some days we barely made enough to stay open—but our mission was clear: to help others take small steps toward healthier living.
